Some people get heavy thighs, some big butts but most of us get a belly first. At the beginning we say it’s a bit of excessive skin, then it’s just lack of muscles and before we know there is this “thing” hanging where our six packs was supposed to be.

“Belly fat” - everyone’s nightmare.
So what can we do about that?
Is doing 200 crunches a day going to fix it? Sorry to disappoint you but NO. It’s going to be good for you as the muscles under this entire bulge are going to become stronger and after few months you can even have a six pack but unfortunately it’s going to be well hidden behind all your belly fat.

The key to losing belly fat is a bit of exercise but mostly the proper diet. And by the diet I don’t mean starving yourself. The easy diet for loosing your belly fat is based on choosing the right food which does not contribute to creation of more fat in this particular area.
Some food will make your butt big some food will give you a belly fat. That’s because the type of the fat you collect on your belly is called visceral fat and it does not grow anywhere else.

The visceral fat grows between your internal organs and on them. The dangers following concentration of this fat are high cholesterol, hypertension, diabetes or stroke.
So let’s get rid of your belly fat with this easy diet to follow.

EAT FAT.

I know half of you now feels like it’s another scam but please notice that I’m not selling you anything. The reason behind this article is my concern for your health only. So don’t close this website down yet and give it another few minutes so I can explain.

Not sure if you are familiar with the fact that the same way as we have good cholesterol and bad cholesterol - we have good or healthy fat and bad fat. If you want to understand exact difference between fats and how to recognize them I suggest that you later read “healthy fat article”. It will explain to you what are they and why you have to eat healthy fat.

In the meantime I will explain what you should look for in your diet for losing your belly fat. Your diet should be limited to about 2000 calories a day so no starving yourself at all. But you have to drastically increase your healthy fat intake. At least 35% of your calorie count should come from healthy fat.
This fat is necessary to your wellbeing and can not be converted into your belly fat. What you replacing in your diet is most of the carbohydrates as they are the bad guys responsible for your belly fat growing.

A common-sense mono-rich, plant-based diet with small portions of lean poultry,
fish and meat fits nicely with what the researchers found after testing this diet on hundreds of people. You have to look at increasing your intake of vitamins B as well for your cardiovascular system and you are on the way to lose your belly fat.
 
Just in case if you didn’t read the “healthy fat article” I remind that you will find the good monounsaturated fat in the following products - olive oil, tea seed oil, avocado, popcorn (yes - you can have it but no butter please), cereal and corn oil.

Now top it up with a bit of exercise and plenty of water and I guarantee in six months you will forget you had a belly.

I'm not suprised you are confused. After all every day a new diet gets introduced and we are told that the best diet yesterday is no good anymore today. So you just finished stocking up your fridge with cabbage - if you on the "cabbage diet" and they tell you to throw it out and get apples. No wonder we give up and get fat.

So what is the solution? In my experience, and believe me I got plenty, choose the one that makes sense, doesn't break your budget and fits your lifestyle.

If you a busy mum like me then I don't believe you have time to count calories in every spoon you put in your mouth and cook separate meals for yourself.

We can't really find the time for meetings in Jenny Craig centres and can't justify spending the fortune on her special meals which anyway half of the time taste like newspaper left in the rain.

You want a good, practical and effective diet.
I will offer new diets on regular bases and I bet you will find one that suits you.

This week diet is low GI diet.

First a bit of introduction for those who are not familiar with the GI term.

GI stand for glycemic index and rating is counted between 0-100.
In plain english it means that foods with low GI ratings get digested slower and they raise sugar level in your blood slowly and much longer then high GI foods.
So instead of getting plenty of energy in 5 min after the meal a nd being hungry 1 hour later you stay satisfied for much longer time - you don't get hungry.

This diet is easy to be introduced into your everyday routine and beneficial to yor whole family. And the best news is you don't have to give up carbohydrates.


All you have to do is to change some ingredients in your meals.

1. Forget about potatoes or stick to sweet ones
2. Eat pasta and noodles instead
3. Choose cereals based on oats, barley and bran
4. Enjoy plenty of salads with vinaigrette dressings
5. Change your rice for Basmati
6. Change white bread for wholegrain
7. Enjoy all low fat dairy like lite yoghurts, smothies
8. Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables just avoid melons
9. Check GI ratings on food packaging - below 55 is what you need.
10. USE COMMON SENSE! - the fact that chocolate is low GI
     doesn't mean it's good as it doesn't have nutritional value!

Is Proactol really safe?

          The famous fat binder Proactol is taking the weight loss market by storm claiming the amazing results being achieved. Totally natural product based on  extracts from plants is supposed not to have any side effects which is welcomed by many diet pills users. If the diet is adjusted  accordingly to the above then we don't really need fat binders to exist. The only scenario where the Proactol is going to be useful is when the diet has too  much fat. And then we wouldn't really call it a weight loss diet. Treating Proactol as a miracle to help with weight loss is a complete misunderstanding.
Taking this pill for prolonged time will have very bad side effect - the bad diet habit. Users will get used to the wrong diet, will eat more fat then  required and will create the habit of it. With that in place they will have to stay on Proactol forever not to gain weight. In the meantime the same result  can be achieved without spending a penny - just by taking 28% of fat out of your diet menu. Not only it will cost nothing but it will be highly more  beneficial as you will be in control of which fat you removing from your menu while Proactol will not see the difference between bad and healthy fat - it  will bind  whatever fat it comes in contact with. Design your perfect menu or get it done by professionals and you won't need Proactol. At least not for  everyday use.
 
As I mentioned before I do like this product but from completely different perspective. I think that the whole potential of Proactol comes in place in  different situation. It should be in every dieting person's drawer as it's your best friend when it comes to uncontrolled menu. By uncontrolled menu I mean  every lunch or dinner when you don't have a choice of food. You have to eat what you are offered. The coming Christmas being probably the best example. All  those family and friends dinners with piles of greasy, unhealthy food. Those few days of Christmas can sabotage your whole weight loss. You won't be able to  enjoy yourself and will try to avoid the food while risking offending the hosts. With Proactol you can find the balance. You can have a bit of greasy food  and keep your weight under control. Proactol can save your Christmas. It's like a little cheating but with good intentions. Proactol is the miracle pill and  it's great we have it available almost to everyone but please remember it's for emergencies only not for everyday use. Speed up metabolism - my personal story part I
I've been where you are now. I was fat and struggled not only with any activity but as well my self esteem for a  while. This website was created as a tribute to my friend who is still fighting her weight without any luck. But  keep in mind that she chooses her own ways and is not really sticking to the rules. Nevertheless, fat or not she is  a great woman and one day she will say goodbye to all those spare tyres. I will show you the weight loss way I've  choosen and I hope following my way you will succeed too. So let's start with your metabolism.

Your metabolism rate is the most important part of your weight loss program. Therefore it's very important to take  steps to SPEED UP METABOLISM. Once it's working overtime it burns much more energy and there will be nothing for  your body to store as fat. I failed with several diets and pills until I finally worked slowly on the ways to speed  up metabolism. After so many years I did get my metabolism to the level where I can eat whatever I want and when I  want and my body just burns it. It's not good either, as at the moment I have to work hard to keep my weight on but  I find that I feel much more comfortable trying to put weight on then I felt trying to lose it.

So girls and boys -  let's speed up metabolism first.We will take it slowly and I will cover the metabolism topic in few parts so you  can put my recommendation into use and see the scale getting down.
The most important part to speed up metabolism is eating your breakfast. As your body didn't receive any food for  so many hours - your metabolism rate is in a slow motion when you wake up - it's almost hibernating. Let's speed it  up by good healthy breakfast.I hope you remember that it has to be low GI as this way we keep the body satisfied  for much longer. So no white bread and no sweets for you. Have a wholemeal sandwich with eggs or brain cereal with skim milk. Back to the "speed up metabolism" subject - you just finished your healthy low GI breakfast. But that's not enough  to speed up metabolism. Your nice meal needs to be followed by some movement. I don't expect you to attend aerobic  class first thing in the morning but have at least 10 min walk to wake up your body. It will very quickly adjust to  the factors of food and the exercise and speed up metabolism process. After all you want your whole breakfast to be  converted into energy - not into love handles. So take your dog for a walk or walk your kid to school - if you don't  have neither then have a walk to the shop to grab a paper. Just find your excuse and keep walking. Make it an  everyday rule and we will slowly cover the rest of your day to speed up your metabolism. I guarantee you will never  look back. See you again soon.

We finished first part on breakfast and the important role of this meal in making your metabolism work for you. Now we can move into the rest of the meals. As I came from Europe - my weight issues were definitely related partly to the local customs. The 3 meals a day custom. Perfect recipe for being overweight and killing your metabolism rate. As I was studying nutrition and body mechanisms I decided to put my research results in practice. I didn't have anything to lose - all the exercise and fasting didn't bring any results so far. I was fat, my social life was almost nonexistent - being 19 and 30kg overweight doesn't really make you popular - so I saw the metabolism rate as my last chance to win with my bulge.

Breakfast became a priority - I tried to eat as soon as I woke up - leaving shower and all the rest for later. It was usually oatmeal (high fiber, low GI) but I would have fruits or raisins with low fat yoghurt or wholemeal bread with poached eggs as well. It kept my body happy for a while.
I completely abandoned the 3 meal rules and went to extreme - unlimited meals. Now - I'm not suggesting the binge eating. What I mean is using your common sense and feeding your body every time you feel it's hungry. We talking - stomach hungry - not eyes hungry. Whenever I felt my stomach is empty - I ate something - few nuts, few raisins, kiwi or banana. We talking about handful of food with low GI rate which would keep your stomach busy for a while.

It wasn't easy - after being used for years to those 3 meals - especially 3 course dinners - my body was totally confused. However After few days I realized it's not my body feeling bad about the new diet - it was my brain - habits die hard. I wanted to have another 3 course dinner but it was all i8n my head - my stomach was satisfied.

Trying to listen ONLY to my stomach feelings I just followed with my experiment - I would eat those snacks through the day not letting my body to get hungry at all. I was scared, after all I was almost constantly munching on something. But I decided to stick to this eating plan for exactly 2 weeks and see how it will affect my weight.

One of my favorite snacks through the day was puffed rice or puffed wheat - it's high in fiber and because of the fact it is puffed it fills you up really quick. You should be able to find it in your supermarket or even better quality should be on your local health shop's shelves.

None of the dramatic changes are good for your body - it can respond opposite to what you expect - therefore you shouldn't go to extreme in the first week. The first changes to your metabolism should be done just by changing the frequency of the meals and snacks. Introduce your body to the new frequency but try to keep as much as possible of your regular menu in. My first 3 days I was working only on keeping my stomach satisfied - then I started slowly swapping all the foods for low GI ones. I wanted to speed up my metabolism natural way, let my metabolism rate grow gradually so the body could adjust to it.
Remember that there is no quick solutions for weight problems - the ones which will make you lose 10 kg in 2 weeks are fake, unhealthy and will ONLY make you put more weight on. I wanted a solution which will let me keep the weight permanently off, which will boost metabolism of my body and will keep it that way. I slowly introduced more foods and tricks to achieve my goal and I will talk about this in the next part. For those who are impatient I will just reveal that in one month time I lost 7kg and my weight kept falling off.
